Terms of service

The terms under which companies use Arlo. An owner accepts them before Arlo writes to anyone in the company’s name. Version of 26 October 2026.

1. Scope

These terms govern every use of Arlo between Julian Brönnimann and David Stocker, simple partnership (einfache Gesellschaft), Haldenstrasse 169, 8055 Zürich, Switzerland (“we”) and the company for which an account is opened (“you”). The data processing agreement is part of these terms.

Arlo is for businesses only. Whoever accepts these terms confirms that they may represent the company. The company’s own terms do not apply, even if we do not object to them.

2. What Arlo is

Arlo is software that sells for your company using artificial intelligence: it researches fitting companies and contacts, writes emails, sends them from your mailbox, follows up and handles replies, within what you allow in Arlo. We provide Arlo as a service over the internet.

We owe careful provision of the service, not a result: no particular number of companies, replies, meetings or deals. Volumes on the pricing page are upper limits. Arlo works from your information and public sources and can be wrong; check what matters to you.

We develop Arlo continuously and may change, replace or discontinue features as long as the core of the service remains.

3. Free start

The free start is voluntary, limited and ends on its own. There is no right to it; we may change or end it at any time.

4. Prices and payment

The prices on the pricing page at the time of the order apply, plus VAT where applicable. You pay in advance for each period, through Stripe.

If a payment fails, we may pause Arlo after a reminder by email until it is paid. We announce price changes at least 30 days ahead by email; they apply from the next period, and you can cancel before then.

5. Term and cancellation

A subscription runs monthly or yearly and renews for the same length each time. An owner can cancel it at any time in the billing portal, effective at the end of the paid period. Paid periods are not refunded, not even in part.

We may terminate with 30 days’ notice to the end of a period. Either side may terminate without notice for good cause; for us that includes in particular a breach of section 6 or 7, non-payment after a reminder, or abuse.

After the subscription ends, the account remains, with Arlo sending no further outreach, until an owner deletes it.

6. Emails in your name

Arlo writes in your name and from your mailbox. You are the sender and the advertiser. You decide whom Arlo writes to, in which countries, with which offer, and which emails Arlo sends only after your approval or on its own. What you set in Arlo, approve or tell Arlo counts as your instruction.

You alone are responsible for your outreach complying with the law that applies to you and to the recipients, in particular the rules on unsolicited advertising (such as Art. 3(1)(o) of the Swiss Unfair Competition Act, § 7 of the German UWG, § 174 of the Austrian TKG 2021), data protection law and the required details in business emails. We give no legal advice. What Arlo does on its own, such as adding an opt-out line, naming the sender and honouring stop requests, does not replace your own check.

You make sure your information about your company and your offer is true and that you may use the connected mailbox. Arlo names prices, discounts and commitments only as far as an owner allows; what Arlo states within that scope, you state to the recipient.

7. Permitted use

You use Arlo only for outreach to businesses and their staff, not to consumers, and not for unlawful, deceptive or harassing content. You do not try to get around Arlo’s limits, checks or safeguards, and you do not decompile or copy the software.

You keep access credentials secret and are responsible for everything done through your team’s accounts. If we suspect abuse, we may pause Arlo for your account, also without prior notice.

8. Indemnity

You indemnify us against all third-party claims, for example from recipients, competitors, associations or authorities, arising from emails in your name, from your content or from a breach of these terms or the law, including reasonable costs of legal defence, as far as the law permits. We inform you promptly of such a claim and agree the defence with you.

9. Your data

Your content remains yours. You allow us to process it as far as Arlo’s work for you requires. You may use what Arlo writes for you freely.

We never use your account’s data for other customers or to train language models. We use technical operating data without content, such as errors, durations and costs, to run, bill, secure and improve Arlo.

You are responsible for personal data we process on your behalf; the data processing agreement applies.

10. Availability

We aim for uninterrupted operation but promise no particular availability. Maintenance, faults and third-party services, such as your mailbox provider or the language-model provider, can interrupt Arlo. When Arlo is unsure whether a send is right, it holds it; that is intended and not a defect.

11. Defects

Report errors to hallo@hirearlo.io; we fix them within a reasonable time. Any further warranty is excluded as far as the law permits.

12. Liability

We are liable for intent and gross negligence as provided by law. Otherwise our total liability under and in connection with the contract is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event causing the damage. During the free start we are liable only for intent and gross negligence.

As far as the law permits, we are not liable for indirect and consequential damage, lost profit, lost data, damage to reputation, damage from emails sent within your settings or approvals, or for our auxiliaries’ conduct in cases of slight negligence.

13. Rights in Arlo

Arlo, the software and this website are ours. For the term of the contract you receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use Arlo for your company.

14. Confidentiality and reference

Each side treats the other’s confidential information as confidential, also after the contract ends.

We may name your company with its name and logo as a customer. An email to hallo@hirearlo.io is enough, and we stop.

15. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms. We announce changes at least 30 days ahead by email or in Arlo. If you keep using Arlo after they take effect, the new terms count as accepted; if you disagree, you can cancel before then.

When a new version has to be accepted explicitly, Arlo asks your company’s owners and writes to no one in its name until an owner has accepted it.

16. Transfer

We may transfer the contract with all rights and obligations to a company that continues Arlo, in particular a limited company (GmbH) we found; you agree to this now. You may transfer the contract only with our consent.

17. Law and jurisdiction

Swiss law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods and conflict-of-law rules. The exclusive place of jurisdiction is Zürich, Switzerland. We may also sue you at your seat.

If a provision is invalid, the rest remains valid; a valid provision closest to its purpose takes its place. Statements by email satisfy the written form. If language versions differ, the German one prevails.
